OUR STORY

Broadway+9th began when our founder Kelly, born and raised in LA, was on a business trip. Traveling to NYC often for work, she quickly became obsessed with packing lightly and the freeing feeling that came with it. The game-changer, though, was one simple navy blue & white stripe t-shirt. Soft, perfectly drapey, always comfortable and endlessly versatile, Kelly spent nearly an entire trip in a single top.

Running errands and prepping for a day meeting, she threw on her favorite jeans. Drinks with coworkers in the evening, she tucked it into a pair of black slacks. When she found herself reaching for the same t-shirt the next morning while making herself a cup of coffee, she realized that somehow, she had never felt better; more feminine, more confident, more comfortable & most like herself. She washed and dried it a few times at her company's corporate apartment, and by the end of an eight-day trip, she had pretty much lived in this one t-shirt.

And then the idea for Broadway+9th was born. No frills, no fuss, but still fashion forward.
